We are excited to announce the launch of RentScreener v2.5.0. Now you can manage your applications even more efficiently. We have added 2 new exciting features to RentScreener. The first feature is a Letter generation system. With the letter generator you can generate Adverse Action and Approval Letters with ease. The second feature is a Properties tool to allow you to manage what properties are available to be applied to on your RentScreener account. Eliminate the hassles of incorrect Rent Amounts and getting applications for unavailable properties.
The letter generator allows you to define your own letters so you can attach them to applications. To begin using the letter generator you will need to create a Letter that you can attach to applications. To do this go into your Settings Console and click on "Letters".
Now that your on your Letter Management Console you can add, modify and delete letters. Click on the "Create Letter" button on the top right.
From here you can create the content of your letter and give it a name. You can setup "hot fields" and "form fields" in your letter that will help you when generating the letter on a specific application. For example the "hot fields" allow you specify where application or account specific information goes into the letter. This will be automatically swapped in when the letter is generated. The "form fields" allow you to specify a dynamic field that the person generating the letter will want to specify. For example if you wanted to have a text field to include a comment on the letter you could add a text box to your letter.
Now lets get into the exciting part of the letter system and that is generating letters for your applications. This is where you can save time. To generate a letter click on the application options drop down in the top right of the application view screen and select the "Create Letter" option.
You will then be prompted to select the letter you want to generate. Select the letter you want and click on "Create Letter".
Finally complete any dynamic fields you want to be filled in and click the save button. The letter will b generated and attached to your application and you can download or print the letter at anytime.
To manage your properties in RentScreener we have added a new section in your settings console.
From the properties screen you will need to activate the feature before proceeding. Do this by clicking on the "Activate" button.
Once the feature is activated you can manage your properties. You can create, status and delete properties right through your properties settings console.
The term active means that the property can be applied to. You can set the status to inactive by clicking on the "Active" button. Only applications that are active will be available to your application. We also generate a link that you can send to applicants or embed on your website that will set the applicant up to apply for that property or unit directly.
So why is this feature a great add-on. Well on your rental application as the user is typing the address the application will suggest the properties that are in your properties list. You can also lock your application to force the user to select an active property before continuing the application. This will prevent your applicants form applying for properties that are no longer available.
